Tau Kappa Epsilon Mourns the Passing of Christopher A. Grasso, PGO

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – It is with profound sadness that Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity announces the passing of Past Grand Officer Frater Christopher A. Grasso - an esteemed leader, mentor, and lifelong supporter of the Fraternity.

Christopher A. Grasso was initiated as an Honorary Teke at the Alpha-Tau Chapter at Drexel University in 1979 and dedicated decades of service to the Fraternity in numerous leadership capacities. He served multiple chapters as Chapter Advisor and a member of the Board of Directors, playing an instrumental role.

A Life Loyal Teke, Frater Chris' contributions to TKE were recognized through numerous accolades, including the inaugural Love, Charity & Esteem Award in 2024, the Grand Prytanis Award in 2005, and his induction into the Advisory Hall of Fame in 2015. Throughout his journey, he served on the Grand Council as Grand Grammateus (1995-1999), Grand Histor (1993-1995), and Grand Hegemon (1991-1993). His leadership extended to the TKE Foundation Board in 1989 and as Chief Grand Justice of the Grand Court in 2005. He was a Knight of Apollo, proud member of the Order of the Shield, and earned several Key Leader recognitions.

Beyond his Fraternity service, Frater Grasso exemplified leadership and devotion in his professional life. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he dedicated himself to education and faith-based initiatives, serving most recently as the Director of Stewardship and Development for the Archdiocese of San Antonio and, later, as Vice President of Walla Walla Catholic Schools. His work as a development consultant further showcased his passion for strengthening communities.

Throughout his lifetime, Frater Chris advised and mentored countless members across chapters including Alpha-Theta (Whitman), Alpha-Tau (Drexel), Xi-Xi (Texas State), Pi-Theta (UT San Antonio), and Upsilon (University of Michigan). His presence at twelve Conclaves, six Regional Leadership Conferences (RLCs), and four Alumni Volunteer Academies (AVAs) demonstrated his unwavering commitment to fostering leadership and brotherhood within TKE.
