Past Grand Officer Charlie Trabold Enters Chapter Eternal
INDIANAPOLIS - It is with a heavy heart that the Offices of the Grand Chapter announces the passing of Past Grand Officer Charlie Trabold. Frater Trabold entered the Chapter Eternal on April 12, 2015.
In his professional life, Frater Trabold was a Colonel with the United States Army. He was initiated at the Kappa-Kappa chapter at Monmouth University in 1966 and passionately served the Fraternity throughout his lifetime.
As the founder of the Order of the Shield, Frater Trabold dedicated the Order of the Shield Monument in honor of all Fraters who served their country in times of peace and war protecting the Bond we share. The structure is located in the Better Men for a Better World courtyard at the Offices of the Grand Chapter.
Frater Trabold served as Grand Pylortes from 2003-2005 and Grand Histor from 2005-2008. He served as an influential factor in the development of the volunteer service model we know today. His dedication to the Fraternity was unparalleled.
"Frater Trabold was one of the most passionate, energetic and driven individuals I have ever met," said Director of Alumni Engagement Todd Farmer. "We are thankful for the services he provided and the mark he left on our great Fraternity."
He was a great ambassador of the TKE Educational Foundation. He served on the Foundation's Board of Directors and was a member of the Grand Prytanis Circle lifetime giving level.
Frater Trabold spent his last days in the company of friends and family. May he rest in peace.
In lieu of flowers, Frater Trabold’s family has asked that Fraters, friends and family members consider making a donation to the Kappa-Kappa Leadership Fund or Kappa-Kappa Alumni Scholarship Fund through the TKE Educational Foundation.
