Frater Robert Bradley Takes Flight for Life

Frater Robert Bradley Takes Flight for Life

Frater Robert Bradley (Omicron-Delta, University of North Carolina – Pembroke) has been a part of a tradition that stretches across the world. Frater Bradley and his wife Angie are members of a five person team who will fly an airplane around the world in an effort to raise awareness of the care offered to children who have life threatening diseases.

For the past 8 years, the team has raised over $300,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Frater Bradley and friends decided to start an event that would continue to motivate people to donate year after year. "My good Friend Mike Geissler, who is a private pilot, had a dream to fly around the world and that became the passion for our work.  I spent twenty years in aerospace before my current career, so twisting my arm was no problem," said Frater Bradley.

The team will begin their 2014 campaign around the world starting on May 17th in Roxboro, North Carolina. The cause will then travel to Morristown, NJ as the group will begin the 1st of 5 legs of the trip through Canada, Greenland, and across the North Atlantic. The remaining four legs of the trip will take the team across the world as they will finish where they started in Roxboro, North Carolina on August 30th.

Track the trip by going to www.flightaware.com and entering the tail number of the plane in the link on the left side of the page. The tail number is N773PT.
