2024 Collegiate Advisory Committee Selected

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Tau Kappa Epsilon announces today that Chief Executive Officer Donald E. Aldrich (Rho-Upsilon, Franklin) has appointed the new members of the Collegiate Advisory Committee for the new biennium.

The new Collegiate Advisory Committee includes Fraters Gibson Cheney (Omicron-Xi, Alabama), JP DiDonato (Kappa-Psi, Quinnipiac), Kory Gennaro-Gerbitz (Theta-Nu, Southeastern Louisiana), Phillip Hartke (Beta-Chi, Southern Illinois), Javan Hollins (Alpha-Omicron, New Mexico State), Brayden Ortiz (Delta-Theta, CSU-Long Beach), Jake Thorry (Gamma-Zeta, Hartwick), Josh Vega (Epsilon-Omicron, Houston), and Jake Weber (Alpha-Alpha, Wabash). This slate of candidates was unanimously approved by the Past Grand Prytani of TKE this week.

The Collegiate Advisory Committee (CAC) consists of nine collegiate members, geographically representative of the Fraternity, appointed by the CEO and approved by the Past Grand Prytani, to act as advisors to the Grand Council. The committee selects its own Chairman, who serves as a voting member of the Grand Council and represents the committee at each Grand Council meeting. The Chairman selected is Frater Phillip Hartke (Beta-Chi, Southern Illinois).

Frater Aldrich shared, "These Fraters are seasoned and proven leaders with experience that will continue to push this Fraternity forward. Every appointee brings not only unique insight from their respective home chapters, but a diversity of opinions that will ensure the Fraternity advances its mission. I am proud and excited to work shoulder-to-shoulder with them as we build a Culture of Champions this biennium."

Frater Gibson Cheney
Region: 2
School: University of Alabama
Chapter: Omicron-Xi
Term: 2 Years
Insight: Frater Gibson is a 2023 TKE Leadership Academy Graduate and current chapter Crysophylos.He is a Metallurgical Engineering major and was named the 2023 AIST Steel Intern Scholar. On campus, he is a Greek Ambassador, SGA Deputy Chief Administrative Officer and holds several other leadership positions.

Frater JP DiDonato
Region: 1
School: Quinnipiac University
Chapter: Kappa-Psi
Term: 2 Year
Insight: Frater JP is the current chapter Grammateus and recharter member. He was recently honored as the QU Oustanding Sophomore, Residential Life Blue & Gold Spirit Award, and is on the Dean's list with honors. On campus, he is the Student Government President, Student Representative on the Quinnipiac University Board of Trustees, and the Board of Directors for the 1929 Fund (QU Scholarship Fund), among several leadership positions.

Frater Kory Gennaro-Gerbitz
Region: 2
School: Southeastern Louisiana University
Chapter: Theta-Nu
Term: 2 Years
Insight: Frater Kory is an Accounting major while serving the chapter as Prytanis. A 2024 graduate of the TKE Leadership Academy, he is the recipient of the TKE Foundation Harry J. Donnelly Memorial Scholarship. He is a US Navy veteran who earned a Navy and Marine Corps Acheivement Medal and several letters of commendation.

Frater Phillip Hartke

School: Southern Illinois University-Carbondale
Chapter: Beta-Chi
Term: 2 Year
Insight: An Industrial Management and Applied Engineering major, Frater Phillip has served his chapter as Pylortes and Public Relations Chair. On campus, he has led as the Student Government President, USG Senator for the College of Engineering, IFC VP of Community Outreach, and Saluki Entrepreneur Corps Logistics Coordinator, among several other roles. *Frater Phillip was elected as the CAC Chairman.*

Frater Javan Hollins
Region: 4
School: New Mexico State University
Chapter: Alpha-Omicron
Term: 1 Year
Insight: An Electrical Engineering major, Frater Javan has served his chapter as Pylortes and a 2-term Prytanis. On campus, he is the Vice President for the IFC, President of the Soccer Program, and Associate of Justice for Student Government.

Frater Brayden Ortiz
Region: 4
School: California State University, Long Beach
Chapter: Delta-Theta
Term: 2 Years
Insight: Frater Brayden is a Marine Biology major with a 3.4 GPA. He serves his chapter as Crysophylos and has earned three Presidential Service Awards from the university.

Frater Jake Thorry
Region: 1
School: Hartwick College
Chapter: Gamma-Zeta
Term: 1 Year
Insight: Frater Jake is a Mathematics with Secondary Education Certification major earning a 3.5 GPA. He has served his chapter as a two-term Prytanis, Crysophylos, House Manager and Philanthropy Chair. On campus, he is FSL Fraternity Undergraduate Delegate, President of the Education Club, and President of Kappa Mu Epsilon Honors Society, among other leadership roles.

Frater Josh Vega
Region: 2
School: University of Houston
Chapter: Epsilon-Omicron
Term: 2 Years
Insight: Frater Josh has served his chapter as Hypophetes, Epiprytanis, St. Jude Chairman, and Recruitment Chairman. A Mechanical Engineering Technology major, he and the chapter were recently recognized for raising the most funds for a non-profit organization for the campus.

Frater Jake Weber
Region: 3
School: Wabash College
Chapter: Alpha-Alpha
Term: 1 Year
Insight: Frater Jake is pursuing a degree in Rehtoric and French, carrying a 3.9 GPA. He has served the chapter as Prytanis, Epiprytanis, Hegemon and Grammateus. On campus, he is Secretary of the Student Body, Senior Fellow with Wabash Democracy and Public Discourse, and Vice President of Lambda Pi Eta (Communications Honor Society).
