Frater Bob Barr Appointed TKE Educational Foundation Ambassadors Program Chairman
The TKE Educational Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Frater Bob Barr to serve as Chairman of the newly-installed Ambassadors Program.
Frater Barr is an initiate of the Beta-Sigma chapter at the University of Southern California. He served as Grand Histor in 2008, Grand Crysophylos from 2008 to 2009, Grand Grammateus from 2009 to 2011, Grand Epiprytanis from 2011 to 2013, and Venerable Grand Prytanis from 2013 to 2015.
From 1995 to 2003 Frater Barr represented Georgia’s 7th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, and in 1986, he was appointed by President (and Frater) Ronald Reagan to serve as the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia.
As Chairman, he will assist in guiding this important initiative, which serves as the Foundation’s premier networking program and volunteer force.
The Ambassadors Program was created in 2018 as a means of inviting donors to serve as active volunteers on behalf of the Foundation while enhancing fundraising efforts through engagement, promotion, stewardship and recruitment.
Ambassadors support the Foundation by assisting in stewardship efforts, recruiting new donors, representing the Foundation at regional and international events, and expanding their fraternal network while building connections with fellow Fraters and prospective donors.
Individuals interested in becoming an Ambassador must maintain a $1,000 annual commitment to the Foundation while providing volunteer time and effort toward accomplishing Foundation goals.
