TKE Raises $76,000 During St. Jude Walk/Run
Brooklyn BridgeNew York St. Jude Walk/Run 2015
INDIANAPOLIS - On Saturday, September 26, the second and final series of the September St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer took place in 47 communities across the nation. Thousands of individuals gathered in honor of September's Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and to raise funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Participants in New York crossed the Brooklyn Bridge; Washington, D.C. lapped the Reflecting Pool and Lincoln Steps (and had enough time to snag a photo with Thomas Jefferson); and those in Indiana gathered in the Children's Museum of Indianapolis. At each event across the nation, Tekes were there to show their support.
At the beginning of the event Tau Kappa Epsilon set a team goal of $50,000. That goal was quickly eclipsed and continued to grow to over $76,000 through nearly 1,300 donations.
The Offices of the Grand Chapter would like to thank everyone for their generous contributions to support the children of St. Jude.
Fundraising for the Walk/Run will continue until November 1. To make a donation, visit our team page.
