Frater Tony Clemens Appointed to Grand Council

Frater Tony ClemensINDIANAPOLIS,Ind. - Grand Prytanis Ed Moy (Lambda, Univ. of Wisconsin-Madison) announced today the appointment of Frater Tony Clemens (Nu-Mu, Univ. of South Alabama) to the TKE Grand Council. Clemens fills the vacancy on TKE's governing board created by the resignation of Frater Shawn Babine (Lambda-Delta, Univ. of Southern Maine) to become the Chief Executive Officer. 

Clemens is a 1995 initiate of the Nu-Mu Chapter at the University of South Alabama where he served as Chapter Crysophylos. He is currently the Province Advisor for Chesapeake Province and President of the DC Area Alumni Association. He is a recipient of both the TKE Key Leader Award and TKE Volunteer of the Month Award. In announcing the appointment, Grand Prytanis Moy said "Tony Clemens will add much to our conversations and help the Grand Council continue to lay out a long-term vision to move TKE forward in the years and decades ahead. His well-rounded experience in non-profit brings a unique dimension to the Teke leadership team."
 
Clemens has earned a bachelor of business administration at the University of Notre Dame and was one of eight students selected to study at the University of Dublin in 1997 through Notre Dame's Office of International Studies' Study Abroad program. He is a senior manager, client services at International City Management Association Retirement Corporation (ICMA-RC) and is a two-time recipient of the ICMA-RC's President's high Achievement Award. 
 
Clemens joins Moy, Bob Barr, Fritz Jacobi, Rod Talbot, Chris Hanson, Dr. Jim Hickey, Robert Jefferis, Brian Montgomery, Gregory Geoffroy and Sean Finn on TKE's Grand Council.  The board is further assisted by Judiciary Chairman Ryan Vescio.
