CHARLES R. WALGREEN, JR. LEADERSHIP AWARD
Victor Rodriguez
Sigma-Alpha
Florida International University
“First and foremost, I believe that I have received an immense amount of leadership development opportunities within TKE and my other involvement experiences. I have gained an invaluable network that not only supports me but also challenges me and pushes me to be better than I was the day before. I've had the opportunity to learn, be critical, and be engaged. Through all these opportunities, I've had the wonderful privilege of becoming a civically active and engaged citizen. This all stems from TKE, my big brother, and the organization as a whole.”
JOHN A. COURSON TOP SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
Anthony Temeliescu
Gamma-Theta
University of Florida
“I can confidently say that I have already seen my involvement with Tau Kappa Epsilon and other organizations leading to success in my career. TKE gave me confidence and skills and activated in me the ability to join various organizations. Making new friends, meeting a great diversity of people, and mentorship to other students are just a few of the highlights of my experience that have been serendipitous benefits. Mentorship, specifically, has taught me the true value of leadership.”
CHARLES R. WALGREEN JR. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
James Costanzo
Sigma-Upsilon
Ramapo College of New Jersey
“Tau Kappa Epsilon has allowed me to work with the Special Olympics, St. Jude Children's Hospital and Relay for Life. These organizations have shown me the benefit of helping those in need and introduced me to the happiness you feel when helping someone. These organizations have helped me become more committed to becoming a doctor.”
RONALD REAGAN LEADERSHIP AWARD
Tyler Ball
Nu-Phi
Duquesne University
“Overall, through my collegiate experience within my fraternities, in particular, I have had opportunities to fail and succeed. Those learning experiences will ultimately be times I remember when similar situations occur as I progress through my journey. Being a Teke truly has helped me become a better man, and I know that as I continue to grow, I will look back on my experiences in our chapter, such as becoming treasurer mid-term, and remind myself that being flexible and going the extra mile is what really matters in life.”
