TKE Educational Foundation Announces Staff Changes

INDIANAPOLIS – After nearly four years of service to the TKE Educational Foundation, Emily Garrott resigned her position on March 13th as Director of Advancement having accepted an offer to serve as Director of Development for the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Indiana University. Her last day in the office will be Friday, March 31.

Emily joined the Foundation staff in September 2013 as Development Coordinator, and during her time on staff has planned countless donor events and board meetings as well as the Better Men for a Better World Courtyard Dedication in November 2013 and the Donald R. Tapia TKE International Headquarters Dedication in April 2016. Emily managed the scholarship and special projects fund programs, and also was responsible for the ongoing Courtyard brick sales, annual direct mail fundraising and donor stewardship.

Overseeing the Foundation’s involvement and activities at the 2013 and 2015 Conclave, Emily’s responsibilities have grown over the years as she adapted to serve the needs of our organization. In December 2016, she received her M.A. in Philanthropic Studies from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at IUPUI.

“In four short years, Emily’s role with the Foundation has grown with each task building on the last. Of all her many contributions to the Foundation, we are most grateful for the relationships she has built with our staff, donors and volunteer leaders. She has made a tremendous impact on the Foundation and the Fraternity during her time here. While we are sad to see her leave, we are equally thrilled for the new opportunity before her," said Chief Advancement Officer Steve Strathmann. 

The Offices of the Grand Chapter wishes Emily all the best in her future endeavors and applauds her for her tireless efforts to better the TKE Educational Foundation and the Fraternity.
