INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Tau Kappa Epsilon International Fraternity is proud to announce its partnership with HazingPrevention.org as a national sponsor for the 2011-2012 academic year. HazingPrevention.org is a national organization dedicated to its mission of empowering people to prevent hazing in college and university student groups. They provide education, develop resources and build partnerships with others who believe in the work they do. This sponsorship aids HazingPrevention.org in fulfilling their mission by providing funding for programs such as The Novak Institute for Hazing Prevention and National Hazing Prevention Week.
TKE’s stance against hazing is strictly laid out on the website and in the Risk Management Guidelines. The Fraternity believes that hazing prevention is everyone’s responsibility and that one should refuse to participate in any hazing activity as well as refuse to permit hazing to be inflicted upon them.
"Becoming a sponsor of HazingPrevention.org was an easy choice for our organization because it is already one of our main goals and priorities as a Fraternity. We are committed to being a part of the anti-hazing movement and know that the Fraternal Industry will only thrive because of programs and organizations like this,” said Steven A. Ramos, TKE Chief Executive Officer.
Tau Kappa Epsilon encourages all of its chapters to participate in National Hazing Prevention Week and all other programs that shed more light on this problem. Further information regarding resources, information, and ways to get involved are located at HazingPrevention.org.
