Frater Chris Walsh Earns Rising Star Award for State of Indiana

Fraters Mike Benson & Chris WalshINDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The lights were shining brightly in downtown Indianapolis as a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon staff was awarded with one of the highest awards given by the Indiana Society of Association Executives – “The Rising Star”. Frater Chris Walsh (Rho-Upsilon, Franklin College) earned the distinction after showcasing his talents just a few years into his role as Director of Events & Marketing. The entire staff has been thoroughly impressed by his work ethic, determination, and poise while he has been in this new role.

“Frater Chris has been an instrumental part of our team since 2005,” said Frater Kevin Mayeux, CAE, Chief Executive Officer for TKE. “He has helped improve TKE’s marketing, communication and events management to the next level. We are very pleased that ISAE has provided this well-deserved recognition to Chris. He’s a talented professional, and we’re very happy to have him as a key member of our professional staff.”

While Chris (seen to the right standing next to Frater Mike Benson at Conclave) has been involved in numerous areas of TKE’s operations, four particular projects help highlight the reasons he was selected as the “Rising Star” of the state. Those projects were improving the website, developing a consistent brand, marketing materials aiding recruitment, and promotion and execution of TKE events.

Tau Kappa Epsilon also earned an award for "Best Membership Program" for The Blueprint at the annual ISAE Star Awards, honoring non-profits throughout the state of Indiana for work completed in the 2008-09 fiscal year.

Congratulations to Chris Walsh and the entire TKE Nation on continuing to push forward the notion Better Men for a Better World.
