Frater Tony Clemens was initiated in 1995 at the Nu-Mu Chapter at the University of South Alabama. He transferred to the University of Notre Dame where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Applications in 1999. While attending the University of Notre Dame, Frater Clemens was one of eight students selected to study abroad in Dublin, Ireland, at University College, Dublin through Notre Dame's Office of International Studies' Study Abroad program where he gained exposure to many different cultures while residing in the graduate student housing and taking classes with Irish students.
Upon graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Tony returned to the University of South Alabama where he re-enrolled in classes, lived in the chapter house, and worked full time at a financial services company focusing on retirement plans and benefits. While back at the University of South Alabama, Frater Clemens served as Crysophylos and House Manager of his chapter.
Frater Clemens has resided in Washington, D.C., since 2001 where he has served in many volunteer roles as Board of Advisors Chairman, Board of Advisors Treasurer, Washington, D.C., Alumni Association President, Chapter Advisor, and Chesapeake Province Advisor.
He has also been actively involved with the TKE Foundation where he is a Foundation Business Council member and Foundation Ambassador.
Frater Clemens is a lifelong donor to the TKE Foundation and is a Life Loyal Teke. He received the Volunteer of the Month award in June 2009 and is a two-time recipient of the TKE Key Leader Award (2006 and 2009).
He is also actively involved with St. Jude in the Washington, D.C., area and has been the top fundraiser for the D.C. St. Jude walk.
Frater Clemens is currently the Director of Client Experience at MissionSquare Retirement, a financial services firm specializing in retirement plan record keeping for the public sector. While at MissionSquare, Tony has worked on many operational projects, as well as leading technology teams developing bots to automate manual processes. Frater Clemens is a two-time recipient of MissionSquare’s President High Achievement Award (2005 and 2012).
In his spare time, Tony travels the country visiting TKE chapters, attending concerts and sporting events (primarily Notre Dame football, Chicago Cubs, Washington Nationals, and the Chicago Blackhawks).
Tony joined the Grand Council in 2012 as an At-Large member and has served as Grand Hegemon and Grand Hypophetes.
