2022-24 Grand Council Elected, At-Large Selected

HOUSTON - The 2022-24 Grand Council of Tau Kappa Epsilon was elected at the Fraternity's 61st Conclave in Houston, Texas. Following the election, Past Grand Prytanis Ted W. Bereswill passed his jewel of office and gavel to newly elected Grand Prytanis, Frater Ryan J. Vescio, Esq.

In a Grand Inaugural full of awards, celebrations, and laughter - Tekes in attendance witnessed Fraternity at its finest. Fraters Ryan Vescio, Mike McEvilly, Jim Johnston, Erich Ploog, Shimmy Mehta, Ed Daizovi, and Cole Conner will continue to serve on the elected council for the next biennium, while Frater John Fabsits returned to the Grand Council after serving from 2017-19.

The newly elected Grand Council is as follows:

Grand Prytanis – Ryan J. Vescio, Esq. (Rho-Omega, South Carolina)
Grand Epiprytanis – Mike McEvilly (Beta-Eta, Missouri-Rolla/Missouri S&T)
Grand Grammateus – Jim Johnston (Epsilon-Eta, Southwestern Oklahoma State)
Grand Crysophylos – Erich Ploog (Epsilon-Omicron, Houston)
Grand Histor – Shimmy Mehta (Theta-Zeta, Rutgers)
Grand Hypophetes – Edward Daizovi (Alpha-Zeta, Purdue)
Grand Pylortes – John Fabsits (Xi-Eta, Missouri Western State)
Grand Hegemon – Cole Conner (Epsilon-Omicron, Houston)

In the first meeting of the 2022-2024 Grand Council on Wednesday, July 27th, the newly elected Grand Council selected the two At-Large members.

Fraters Major General Charles Whittington (Pi-Psi, Southern Mississippi) and Alex Rudloff (Xi-Iota, Central Florida) were approved by the Grand Council.

The Venerable Grand Prytanis, Frater Ryan Vescio shared, "The Grand Council is honored to have Fraters Fabsits and Whittington back to the Council, as their demonstrated leadership skills will continue to serve the Fraternity. Further, we are excited for the addition of Frater Rudloff, who brings extensive technological and entrepreneurial experience which will help guide the Fraternity’s continued growth. As we celebrate the 125th Anniversary of Tau Kappa Epsilon this biennium, the Grand Council is committed to developing policies and strategic vision to grow the Fraternity so that we can extend the privilege of membership to more college students. These new and returning Fraters to the Grand Council will help lead our focus on our mission of ‘aiding men in their mental, moral, and social development for life.’”
