Mu-Theta
Lycoming College
As Director of Media and Design, CJ Zortman oversees the visual branding, digital media strategy, and creative direction for Tau Kappa Epsilon’s national communications. He leads the development of marketing campaigns, social media strategy, graphic design, photography, videography, and branded content that enhance the Fraternity’s image and engagement across all platforms. CJ works to ensure consistency in brand identity while creating innovative media that highlights the mission, growth, and impact of TKE. In addition to content creation, he collaborates across departments to support organizational initiatives, major events, recruitment campaigns, and strategic communications through compelling visual storytelling and modern design.
I grew up in York, Pennsylvania and spent a lot of my time as a child competitively swimming and playing football, continuing my swimming career into College. I was initiated into the Mu-Theta Chapter at Lycoming College in November 2021. I served as Prytanis, Hegemon, Social Chair and Social Media Chair of the chapter. I was awarded Fraternity Member of the Year at Lycoming and helped Mu-Theta earn Fraternity/Sorority Chapter of the Year in 2024. I graduated in May 2024 and decided my time serving the Fraternity was not over. I moved to Indianapolis and joined the TKE Professional Staff as an Expansion Coordinator and am now taking a new role in the communications department as the Director of Media and Design. I’m very excited about this opportunity.
In my free time, you will likely find me hanging out with my girlfriend Ruth, our dog Moose, and our cat Smokey. Whenever I find the time, I am also a Professional Fine Artist where I complete commissioned paintings for clients and sell my own artwork. You will also find me watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and The Crimson Tide during football season, yelling at the TV occasionally. Other activities I enjoy are hiking and going to the beach with my family and friends, specifically the Outer Banks, NC.
