For the third straight year, Tau Kappa Epsilon is teaming up with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to host our annual No Shave for St. Jude Kids campaign. Throughout November, you will have an opportunity to join other Tekes as we raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the prevention of pediatric diseases.

With the bearded month right around the corner, we challenge TKE Nation to again put away shaving kits to support the cause.

Registration for No Shave for St. Jude Kids is simple:

  1. Follow the URL: stjude.org/tke
  2. Search for your school at the bottom of the page
  3. Register a team or join an existing group
  4. Raise as much money as you can by utilizing Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
  5. Start November clean-cut and finish with the best facial hair in TKE Nation!

With November being the most popular month of the year to let it all grow out, why not raise awareness and funds for the children of St. Jude at the same time? There are many ways to turn your beard and mustache growing into donated dollars, but to get the ball rolling, here are a few ideas to kick off the campaign:

  • Create a bracket style tournament for members to compete, the winner (dollars raised) continues to let the hair grow
  • Agree to not shave for [X] number of days for every [X] dollars raised
  • Agree that the brother with the highest fundraising total with one week remaining gets to shape and style all other beards in the chapter or colony
  • On the last day of the month, host a shaving event on campus to raise awareness and make one final fundraising push

Share your progress with TKE Nation by using #Beards4StJude. We’ll share the best stories, beards and mustaches on Facebook, Twitter, and of course, our Instagram throughout November. The best performing group will be featured on tke.org in early December.
