With a heavy heart, Tau Kappa Epsilon is saddened to share Frater John Deckard (Grand Chapter) entered the Chapter Eternal on Tuesday, August 7.
Frater Deckard was initiated into the Grand Chapter in 2001. He served on the Professional Staff from 2007-2015, rising to the post of Chief Operating Officer. He was an integral part of the Charles R. Walgreen, Jr. TKE Leadership Academy, Regional Leadership Conferences and Conclave for many years.
Chief Executive Officer, Donald E. Aldrich, shared, “Frater JD played an impactful role in growing TKE over the past decade and improving the educational programming that he was extremely passionate about. The effect he made on many lives will last for years to come.”
Those who knew him shared on social media as the news spread yesterday that Frater Deckard inspired them to be a better man, leader and Teke.
He passed away peacefully in the company of his wife and three sons.
