Frater Cole Conner was initiated into Tau Kappa Epsilon at the Epsilon-Omicron Chapter (University of Houston) in 2016. As an undergraduate, he served as Recruitment Officer, Crysophylos, Epiprytanis, and Chairman of the Collegiate Advisory Committee from 2019 to 2021. Cole is a graduate of TKE Leadership Academy XXXIII and was recognized as both Top Teke and Top Recruiter while the chapter earned three consecutive Top TKE Chapter awards.
At Houston, Cole earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Administration with a minor in Risk Management & Insurance, along with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management & Leadership. He also graduated from the Stephen Stagner Sales Excellence Institute, one of the top undergraduate sales programs in the nation, and completed the Corporate Entrepreneurship Program through the Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship.
Cole currently serves as Grand Histor of the Grand Council, having previously served as Grand Hypophetes, Grand Hegemon and Chairman of the Collegiate Advisory Committee. In his current role he chairs the Fraternal Affairs Committee, serves as Liaison for St. Jude overseeing the fraternity’s partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and sits on the Strategic Plan Oversight Committee and Risk Committee
Professionally, Cole is a Senior Commercial Risk Advisor for The Baldwin Group, one of the top ten property and casualty insurance brokers in the country, where he works with middle-market and national manufacturing, industrial, energy, and marine companies to structure large-scale insurance and risk management programs. Before Baldwin, he spent five years in sales transformation and consulting with Baker Communications, developing sales organizations for clients including AWS, Cisco, VMware, Procore, Honeywell, 3M, Splunk, and Rackspace, as well as the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Alzheimer’s Association.
A native South Texan, Cole enjoys hunting and fishing on trips back home. He volunteers with the University of Houston Athletic Foundation, Young Alumni Association, the Astros Foundation’s Houston Open, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and is a founding member of the 8-5 Club, a group of young alumni who work directly with the Athletic Director, coaches, and university leadership to shape the future of Houston Athletics. Most importantly, Cole enjoys time with friends and family and cheering on his beloved Houston Cougars, home and away.
