Frater Phil Hartke got started in TKE re-founding the Beta-Chi chapter at Southern Illinois University. He has served as Pylortes when the chapter re-chartered in 2023 and currently serves as Epiprytanis. On campus at SIU, Phil was elected Student Government President as a freshman and has been a huge supporter of SIU’s Touch of Nature Outdoor Education Center. Phil was a graduate of the 36th Charles R Walgreen, Jr. TKE Leadership Academy, and a recipient of the Lon G. Justice Scholarship tin 2024-25.
Frater Hartke is currently interning at General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems in Marion, IL as a program manager. He also serves as a volunteer firefighter in Makanda, IL and is the State Chairman of Illinois’ College Republicans. He will graduate with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering in May 2026 and then looks to either enter the industry or attend law school.
