Richard Pisano, Jr. is a 1982 initiate of the Beta-Mu Chapter at Bucknell University where he graduated with a degree in International Relations. As an undergraduate, he was an enthusiastic member of the chapter. His more formal service to TKE was to bloom decades later.
Upon graduation, he joined his family’s essential oil and aroma chemical company, Citrus and Allied Essences Ltd. where he served in many capacities and was elected President in 2007. He is also a co-founder of Trilogy Flavors, Inc. – a companion family-owned business where he also is the CEO and President.
Richard has served on many Flavor and Fragrance industry boards, including terms as President of The Flavor Extract Manufacturer’s Association, the National Association of Fruits and Flavor-Ingredient Systems, and the Chemical Sources Association.
In 2012, he was asked to serve on the Alumni Advisory Board of the Beta-Mu Chapter. Within a few years, he was elected Chairman of the Board. In 2015, he joined the TKE Foundation Board and currently serves as the Vice Chairman of External Affairs. Additionally, he has served on the Alumni Advisory Board of TKE. Frater Rich has been awarded the TKE Fraternity for Life Award (2022) and was inducted into the Circle of Excellence (2024). He is a Top 10 living donor to the TKE Foundation.
Richard is married to Teresa Pisano, who whole-heartedly supports his volunteer activity at TKE. His son Richie is a Beta-Mu Teke who served as Prytanis and led the chapter to earn a Top TKE Chapter award. Richard’s daughter Liz was part of the sorority community at Bucknell.
Richard is a sailor, a singer, an enthusiastic golfer and writer. He enjoys chatting with any Teke who is interested in learning about the world of flavors and fragrances and their ingredients. He resides in Boca Raton, Florida.
