Evan Calvert was born and raised in Clinton, Illinois. Raised by parents who were both involved in Greek life, he developed an early appreciation for the friendships and leadership opportunities it provides. He attended Carthage College, where he joined the Tau-Chi Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon.
During his time in Chicagoland, Evan met his wife, Lauren, a member of Sigma Kappa. Today, they live south of Bloomington, Illinois, with their two children and two Labrador Retrievers.
Evan is a fourth-generation funeral director and owner of his family’s business, Calvert Memorial. Founded in the 1940s by his great-grandfather, the company has grown significantly over generations. Since stepping into a leadership role four years ago, Evan has helped expand operations to over 80 locations, with plans to surpass 100 in the coming years. In addition, he operates a funeral purchasing group serving 1,800 firms across the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
Evan entered college intending to join Greek life and quickly found his place within TKE. His experience in the Tau-Chi chapter played a key role in shaping who he is today. Though the chapter is no longer active, Evan remains deeply connected to his Fraters and continues to carry the values of TKE into his professional and personal life.
