At the Indiana Society of Association Executives 14th Annual Star Awards last Thursday, December 10, Tau Kappa Epsilon was presented with the Outstanding Convention Award for its organization of Conclave 2015 in New Orleans.
The Fraternity’s biennial celebration, known as Conclave, began in 1909 with the election of the first full slate of the Grand Council. Every other year since then, members and friends of the Fraternity gathered to celebrate the Fraternity’s accomplishments and prepare for the next biennium.
This past summer, over 700 individuals made their way to New Orleans for the Fraternity’s 58th Biennial Conclave, which took place August 6-9. Over the course of the event, attendees participated in educational sessions, paraded through the French Quarter, cruised on the Mississippi, served the greater New Orleans community and elected the Fraternity’s 2015-17 Grand Council.
"The ability to host an event like Conclave is a testament to the character of our Professional Staff and dedicated volunteers," says Director of Education Greg Roskopf. "We are committed to creating an experience for our members and friends that they’ll never forget, and I’m proud to say we have done just that."

Conclave 2017 is scheduled to take place in New Orleans during August 3-6.
