TEF Director of Advancement
As the TEF Director of Advancement for the TKE Educational Foundation, my job is two-pronged – keeping alumni donors informed about how their donations are used and planning and executing giving campaigns throughout the year to carry out the work of the Foundation and TKE educational programs. I work with chapters and alumni to establish scholarship funds and help manage chapters’ special projects funds. I also champion the Better Men for a Better World courtyard brick campaign.
Originally from Atlanta, Ga., I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mercer University with a B.A. in Journalism in three years. My previous experience with nonprofits led to my interest in the mission and goal of the TKE Educational Foundation: to promote academic achievement and strengthen moral, social and community values. I enjoy working with organizations that have a vested interest in making a difference, and use my Journalism/Public Relations background to effectively strengthen connections with their supporters and membership.
What I Like To Do in My Free Time
I have performed as a soloist and member of several community and professional auditioned choirs, such as the Atlanta Master Chorale and Mercer Singers. I currently perform with the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir. Since graduation, I have continued to be involved with my Fraternity as a volunteer and Advisor for chapters as well as a member of our local Alumni Association. I’ve moved 14 times as an Army Brat, so I travel to visit friends around the country at every opportunity and hope to live in, or at least visit, every state before I die. You can find me at live shows for my favorite bands or reading on the weekends. Rambling around with my Nikon is a major pastime, and sometimes I attempt to understand sports.
