CEO Appoints 2017 Collegiate Advisory Committee

INDIANAPOLIS - Tau Kappa Epsilon announced today that Chief Executive Officer Donald E. Aldrich has appointed the 2017 Collegiate Advisory Committee. The slate of candidates were unanimously approved by a council of Past Grand Prytani of TKE last week. The CAC is made up of nine collegiate members who serve as an advisory board to the Fraternity.  

The 2017 Collegiate Advisory Committee is made up of the following individuals:
 
John Bjerkness  (Epsilon-Alpha | St. Louis University)  - 1 Year Term
Timothy Cucci (Epsilon-Beta | University of Tampa) - 1 Year Term
Patrick Diehr (Gamma-Kappa | Indiana University) - 2 Year Term
Gabe Fulkerson (Omicron-Sigma | IU-Southeast) - 2 Year Term
Zain Islam (Upsilon-Mu | N.Y.I.T.-Manhattan) - 2 Year Term
Dylan Orrell (Xi-Omega | Virginia Tech) - 2 Year Term
Madison Smith (Tau | Oregon St.)  - 1 Year Term
Zach Woodbeck (Epsilon | Iowa State University)  - 1 Year Term
Evan Yoho (Upsilon-Iota | IUPUI) - 2 Year Term
 
 

Frater John Bjerkness (1 Year Term)

Area: Region 3
School: St. Louis University

Chapter: Epsilon-Alpha 
Insight: John is senior majoring in finance and marketing with a 3.530 GPA. He served his chapter as Fundraising Chairman, Philanthropy Chairman and on the IFC, and was a Freshman in Business small group leader. Frater Bjerkness was honored as TKE Most Outstanding New Member and is a graduate of Leadership Academy XXXI.


Frater Timothy Cucci (1 Year Term)

Area: Region 2
School: University of Tampa

Chapter: Epsilon-Beta
Insight: Timothy is a sophomore majoring in international business and management with a 3.850 GPA. He served as New Member Class Vice President of his chapter and is the current Grammateus. He is student coordinator of Fraternity and Sorority Life on campus and a member of the UT Leadership Awards Committee. Frater Cucci is a recipient of the TKE Ronald Reagan Leadership Award and the University of Tampa Leadership and Academic Achievement Award.


Frater Patrick Diehr (2 Year Term)

Area: Region 3
School: Indiana University

Chapter: Gamma-Kappa
Insight: Patrick is a junior majoring in accounting/finance with a 3.680 GPA. He has held the positions of Prytanis and Grammateus at his chapter. He has served as a member of the IU IFC Mental Health Committee and the Civic Engagement Chapter. Patrick is a graduate of the TKE Charles R. Walgreen, Jr. Leadership Academy and was on the Dean’s List.


Frater Gabe Fulkerson (2 Year Term)

Area: Region 3
School: IU-Southeast

Chapter: Omicron-Sigma
InsightGabe is a sophomore majoring in business economics with a 3.436 GPA. He has served his chapter as Pylortes and Rush Chairman. He is a member of the Veterans Club and Republican Club, and is a drummer for Lincoln Hills Christian Church Worship. Gabe received the Fraternal GPA Award and is a graduate of the 2017 TKE Charles R. Walgreen, Jr. Leadership Academy.


Frater Zain Islam (2 Year Term)

Area: Region 1
School: N.Y.I.T.-Manhattan

Chapter: Upsilon-Mu
Insight: Zain is a junior majoring in computer science with a 3.2 GPA. He was Histor of his chapter in 2016, Epiprytanis in spring 2017, and will serve as Prytanis until spring 2018. He is a graduate of TKE Leadership Academy XXXI and was Student Leader of the Year on campus for 2016–17. Zain was on the Dean’s List from 2015 to 2017.


Frater Dylan Orrell (2 Year Term)

Area: Region 2
School: Virginia Tech

Chapter: Xi-Omega
InsightDylan is a sophomore majoring in industrial and systems engineering with a 3.5 GPA.  He served as Chief Technology Officer, Social Media Chair, and Pledge Class Treasurer of his chapter.


Frater Madison Smith (1 Year Term)

Area: Region 4
School: Oregon State

Chapter: Tau
Insight: Madison is a senior majoring in mechanical engineering/material science with a 3.260 GPA. He has held the positions of Grammateus, Epiprytanis and Prytanis of his chapter. He was honored as Kappa Delta Man of the Dagger.


Frater Zach Woodbeck (1 Year Term)

Area: Region 3
School: Iowa State University

Chapter: Epsilon
Insight: Zach is a junior majoring in industrial engineering with a 3.820 GPA. A Leadership Academy XXX graduate, he has served as TKE Grammateus, Public Relations Chair, and on the Scholarship, Recruitment and Philanthropy committees. He has held many leadership positions on campus, including IFC Vice President of Philanthropy and Emerging Greek Leadership Council. Zach is an Iowa State Cardinal Leadership Scholar and received the following Epsilon awards in 2017: Seminole, Elmer Kaser, and Don Beisner Academic Award.


Frater Evan Yoho (2 Year Term)

Area: Region 3
School: IUPUI

Chapter: Upsilon-Iota
Insight: Evan is a junior majoring in Organizational Leadership and Supervision with a 3.0 GPA. He has served his chapter as Philanthropy Chair and Grammateus. He is an FSL Ambassador, Coordinator of Vendors for the IUPUI Regatta, and executive volunteer for Tri-Kappa. Evan has received the following awards: Academic Honors Recruitment, Chapter Size, Education, and Alumni Engagement.
