Two TKE Grand Council Members Take New Positions

Frater Rob JefferisINDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Grand Prytanis Ed Moy announced today the appointments of Frater Rob Jefferis from Grand Hegemon to Grand Pylortes and Frater Brian Montgomery from At-Large Member to Grand Hegemon on the TKE Grand Council. Jefferis fills the vacancy on TKE's governing board created by the resignation of Frater Shawn Babine to assume the role of Chief Executive Officer for the Offices of the Grand Chapter. Babine served the Fraternity's Board as Grand Hegemon from 2009-11 and was reelected as Grand Pylortes in 2011.

Jefferis was initiated in 2001 at the Omicron-Nu Chapter (Florida Tech). An International Top Teke in 2005, he graduated with a B.S. in Aviation Management/ Flight and served on the Omicron-Nu chapter's Board of Advisors. At the Las Vegas Conclave in 2007, he took over the Buckeye Province as Grand Province Advisor, a position that he held until joining the Grand Council in 2011. In his professional life Rob is an airline pilot, flying an Embraer 170 for Shuttle America Airlines, a division of Republic Airways Holdings.

Frater Brian MontgomeryMontgomery is an initiate of Gamma-Upsilon Chapter at the University of Texas - Austin and is a graduate of the University of Houston where he received his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science. Since 1980, Frater Montgomery presents an extensive background in public and private sector executive management, policy development, and strategic communications. Brian served in the White House as Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Advance for President George W. Bush from 2001-03 and as Deputy Assistant to the President and Cabinet Secretary from 2003-05. Brian was then nominated and Senate confirmed as the Assistant Secretary for Housing and the Federal Housing Commissioner for the US Dept of Housing and Urban Development from 2005-09. Brian also served as Acting HUD Secretary in January 2009. Currently, he is Chairman and Partner at the Collingwood Group in Washington, DC and serves on several national boards.

In announcing the appointments, Grand Prytanis Moy said, "These Fraters are exceptional Tekes who will continue to serve the organization with class and integrity. We will continue working hard to build Better Men for a Better World."
